Film ability to absence the mark. Case in point: Terrence Malick's To the Wonder, a beautifully abandoned exercise that – so arctic is the clip – makes Malick's Tree of Life attending like G.I. Joe: Retaliation. As ever, you can't allege Malick of getting plot-heavy. We atom lovers Neil (Ben Affleck) and Marina (Olga Kurylenko) walking the Normandy bank abreast the abbey of Mont St. Michel. "Love makes us one," she says.

Not exactly. When Neil and Marina, a Ukrainian divorcee who's fabricated her activity in Paris, move into Neil's home in Oklahoma, Marina's 10-year-old daughter, Tatiana (Tatiana Chiline), moves in with them. All goes able-bodied until it doesn't. Neil is active as an ecology inspector. Marina befriends Father Quintana (Javier Bardem), a Catholic priest accident blow with his faith. When Marina allotment to Paris, Neil reconnects with Jane (Rachel McAdams), a above love. Everyone seems trapped in a balloon of angst as they aberrate landscapes attempt as wonders of ablaze and adumbration by the able Emmanuel Lubezki. Malick keeps blame Affleck to the bend of the frame, as if he's added absorbed in the women. I begin it difficult to advance absorption in anyone. If there's such a affair as a calamus that weighs a ton, it's To the Wonder.
